Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I bring my pet in for grooming?
  • Professional Answer: The ideal frequency depends entirely on your pet’s breed, coat type, and lifestyle.
    • For long-haired or curly-haired breeds (such as Poodles, Bichons, or Shih Tzus), a visit every 4 to 6 weeks is recommended to prevent mats and knots.
    • For short-haired breeds (such as Labradors or Beagles), a visit every 8 to 12 weeks is sufficient for bathing, deep brushing, and shedding control.
    • Nail trimming and ear cleaning should be done at least once a month, regardless of bathing.

  • Professional Service: A standard full service generally includes the following elements, ensuring the health and well-being of your pet:
    • Bathing: With professional shampoos suitable for the skin and coat type (hypoallergenic, for white coats, etc.).
    • Drying: Using low-temperature, high-power dryers for efficient and safe drying.
    • Brushing and Deshedding: Removal of dead hair, knots, and mats.
    • Haircut or Breed Trim: According to the breed standard or the client’s preference.
    • Nail Trimming and Filing.
    • Ear Cleaning and Anal Gland Expression (if requested and the groomer has training for this).

  • Professional Response: Safety is our priority. We use low-temperature hand dryers or cabinet dryers with controlled and monitored ventilation. We never use heat cages.
    • For nervous or anxious pets, we employ positive handling and reinforcement techniques. We schedule shorter sessions, work in a calm environment, and use treats and petting to soothe them.
  • For senior or health-related pets, we work very calmly, minimizing standing time and taking frequent breaks. We always ask the owner to inform us of any medical conditions or limitations so we can adapt the service accordingly.

  • Professional Answer: When the hair is very matted or matted (close to the skin), there are two main options:
    • Manual Detangling: This is only viable if the mats are superficial and not very dense. It is done very carefully and is the most time-consuming and expensive option.
    • Sanitary Shaving (Shaving): This is the safest and most humane option when the mats are extensive and close to the skin. Attempting to detangle them in this state would cause a lot of pain and discomfort.
  • Important: We will always choose the option that causes the least stress and pain to your pet. If shaving is necessary, we will explain that shaving allows the skin to breathe and the hair to grow back healthy.

  • Professional Response: The cost of a full service varies and depends on several key factors:
    • Pet Size and Weight: Larger dogs require more time and products.
    • Breed and Coat Type: A dense or curly coat (non-shedding) like that of a Poodle, requires more laborious cutting and drying than a short, smooth coat.
    • Coat Condition: The extra time needed for detangling increases the cost.
    • Additional Services: Such as moisturizing treatments, deworming, or teeth brushing.

We will give you an initial quote based on the breed and the service requested, but the final price will be confirmed after we personally assess the current condition of your pet. your pet’s fur.
